157 Balcony awnings for residential complex in Sydney
weinor has equipped a residential complex in Sydney Harbour with 157 Cassita II LED cassette awnings: great sun protection for a great neighbourhood!
Those who live here are truly enviable: Around ten years ago, the former Walsh Bay harbour complex was transformed into a district with residential units, restaurants, hotels and shops. From here you have an impressive view of Sydney's harbour district. The recently renovated buildings are therefore in an exquisite location. The residents even have their own boat moorings around the built-up old piers.
Exclusive residential neighbourhood
The 157 Cassita awnings were installed in a total of four buildings, two of which are located on Piers 6 and 7, the others right on the waterfront. The two buildings on the piers have 140 flats on six floors. The basement is below the surface of the water and houses a car park. The top floor consists of two penthouse flats.
Fitted with wind monitors and LED lighting
All the awnings were installed within four weeks. And the residents are delighted: both with the design of the awning and with the integrated LED light strip, which many have taken up as an option. It is colour-coordinated with the cassette. The LEDs are particularly energy-efficient and have a service life of around 30,000 hours. Now evenings can be spent in pleasant light on the balconies, enjoying the magnificent harbour panorama. And because stiff breezes are often to be expected by the sea, the Cassitas have been fitted with wind monitors so that they retract in good time if it gets too windy.
Awning fits in with modern living trends
It is not surprising that the planners decided to use Cassita II awnings. It has a slimline design and is therefore the perfect match for the modern architecture of the harbour district. The purist look is the result of a special technical feature: the folding arms are positioned directly on the head plates of the cassette. This means that the awning only needs to be attached with two brackets. The flat, oval aluminium caps that close off the sides of the cassette are also beautifully designed. In this stylish balcony ambience, the harbour panorama can of course be enjoyed particularly intensively.
