Glass oasis in a detached house in Erlensee
Anyone who spends a long time on the patio doesn't just want a roof over their head. The weather protection should also meet high design standards, be customised and match the overall look of the house. A client family from Erlensee near Hanau has now fulfilled this wish and built a cubic glass oasis in their outdoor area. With its linear design, the patio roof construction blends in perfectly with the modern architecture of the house.
"In the five years following the construction of our detached house, we made do with makeshift solutions such as sunshades and traffic light umbrellas. However, these offered neither protection from the rain nor were they particularly wind-resistant," explains owner Alexander Turowski. As their home is dominated by a linear look, the owners wanted a suitable sunshade for the patio. They found what they were looking for at specialist retailer Tomasulo from Weiterstadt near Darmstadt.
Cubic glass patio roof to match the overall look
The expert recommended the Turowskis a glass oasis based on the Terrazza Pure cubic glass patio roof from weinor. This is a straight-lined glass patio roof that still allows rainwater to run off reliably. This is achieved with the help of a clever glass support system with an integrated slope that is not visible from the outside.
For even more weather protection, the patio roof can be supplemented with sliding glass walls. These are completely frameless and therefore offer a particularly high level of transparency. This means you can make yourself cosy under the glass patio roof even in wind and rain. When the sun is back, the sliding glass walls can be easily opened completely.
A must: sun, privacy and glare protection
It can get quite warm under a glass construction in strong sunlight. A lowered conservatory awning, for example, can help here. It keeps the heat out, creates a cosy ambience and is easy to maintain as it is protected by the patio roof. In addition, wind-stable vertical awnings all round provide privacy, glare and sun protection from the outside.
Pleasant atmosphere with colour LED and heating system
Integrated colour LED strips bathe the patio in up to 48 colours and three different shades of white and, like the patio heating, are dimmable. They can be operated with the same awning control system as the conservatory and vertical awnings - at the touch of a button. "The fully equipped glass oasis is an investment that is absolutely worthwhile for us," summarises the client enthusiastically.
