Nanotechnology and fabric care
weinor's high-quality acrylic fabrics come with one outstanding property in particular: dirt has absolutely no chance.
The fabric is impregnated with a protective coating on a microscopic level – so-called Hi-Clean nano-technology – making it dirt-resistant*. The coating wraps around the fabric's fibres like an invisible protective shield which guards against dirt.

| The "honey test" The sticky substance simply cannot penetrate the fabric. If water is then poured onto the fabric, the honey and water will both roll off the surface of the nano-coated fabric. |
Fabric care
Should individual spots of dirt nevertheless occur, you might find the following care tips useful:
- Avoid moisture. Only retract wet awnings in exceptional cases and make sure you allow the fabric to dry out fully at the next best opportunity.
- Carefully remove grease and oil stains using petroleum ether.
- Dab liquids that roll off the fabric using a dry, absorbent cloth.
- Brush away loose dirt particles using a dry cloth. Alternatively, you can incline the awning to a sufficient angle (one that ensures water will run off it), spray the fabric with water and then retract it once the fabric is dry.
- To clean thoroughly, use either a sponge or soft brush and a mildly soapy water (approx. 2%). Then rinse the awning thoroughly with water.
- Light dirt can be "rubbed out" by carefully erasing with a light eraser.
* Please note that the level of impregnation will decline over time.
